THE CODE
To harness the exhilarating sport of barefoot waterskiing as a catalyst for empowerment, inclusion and support for local families with children who are bravely enduring various conditions, disorders and diseases, in and around Pittsburgh, PA.
This 36 mile barefoot endurance race - with a purpose - is a testament to the persistence and strength of the families we strive to support.
As a registered 501C non-profit organization, we couldn’t do any of this without our sponsors, volunteers and donations that fuel Mon Mania below deck. We are grateful for the community that has grown up around us - they are the wind in our sails!

RACE DAY

The stars be aligned and the winds be fair; this promises to be another legendary voyage for the fleet! The charts have led us back to the legendary Greene Cove Marina! We’re weighin' anchor at our favorite home port once more, and the event is open to all. Bring the whole family to the shore-side and cheer on the racers.
The Hometown Privateers, Footloose, and about eight other teams will barefoot ski, competing on Pittsburgh’s scenic Monongahela River. At Greene Cove, every soul is part of the crew, so don yer finery and show us your swagger.
0800 hours : Opening Cannon: We drop the hammer!
high noon : The race concludes as we moor the ships and prepare to toast the victors.
the final reckoning : The trophies are hoisted, the Grand Prize Boat is commissioned, and we toast to another legendary year.
Pirate time be a fickle mistress. All event times are subject to the winds, the waves, and the whims of the Commodore. Stick to yer posts and keep a weather eye on the horizon!
